Maura Tierney math session

One thing that’s great about being 19: When you like someone who’s over 40 years old, it’s not as creepy as being over 40, liking someone who’s 19.

Maura Tierney

I have a
post on my blog
where I list my top 3 celebrity crushes. I’ll (probably) eventually go through that list here, along with some new additions, but I had to start it off with Mrs. Maura Tierney—my first celebrity crush.

I first saw her on re-runs of Newsradio. She played Lisa Miller: a super-smart producer/broadcaster at a news radio station, who could do complex math equations in her head with ease. I was 14 and she was 35—she was 2.5 times (or 21 years) older than me. My chances: 0%.

Now, she’s 40 and I’m 19. She’s happily married and I’m happily with
My Mean Girl
.

My girlfriend might not be able to do complex math equations in her head with ease, but she can still tell me on cue, My chances: 0%.
