Nick Cannon Engaged To Model
Nick Cannon has finally popped the question to girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret babe Selita Banks, and she said yes.
Cannon may have chosen the cheesy route to proposing—doing it right in the middle of Times Square, “Selita, will you marry me?” plastered all over the MTV jumbotron, the works—but he couldn’t have been turned down, not with the $400,000 diamond ring he gave his girlfriend of only three months.
“I have been smiling so much my cheeks hurt,” Selita added. “The ring is so beautiful. I was so surprised.”
Of course you’ll be smiling from ear to ear, sweetheart. A diamond ring worth almost half a mill has that effect on people somehow. Anyway, they partied at New York hotspot Butter till three in the morning with a group of friends, then left for L.A. on a private plane.
Congratulations and all that, but the question remains: How long will this last? Getting engaged after only three months together isn’t exactly a sign of a lasting relationship by any standard, especially by Hollywood standards. Nick better get some prenup done just in case.
