Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas is an American singer, writer, record producer, dancer, actress and a fashion designer. Her first work was as a background vocalist for the Big Pun’s song “How we roll”. Some of her singles are “Foolish”, “Happy” and “Baby”. Her debut album “Irv Gotti Presents The Inc” won her eight Billboard awards, two American Music Awards, a Lady Of Soul Award and a Grammy Award. Her second album “Chapter II” reached the number 1 position on Billboard 200. Some of the famous books she has written are “Foolish/Unfoolish Reflections in Love” and “Precious Jewel Of Ashanti”
