Loretta Swit

Loretta Swit is an American stage and television actress well known for playing the character of Major Margaret on “MASH”. She studied acting with Gene Frankel.

Having been trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Switt is also talented in singing. She plays one of the pigeon sisters in “The Odd Couple”. She even played the role of “Agnes Gooch” in the Las Vegas version of “Mame”. She played the title role in North Carolina Theater production of “Mame”.

She won the Sarah Siddons Award for her role in “Chicago Theater”.
