Mira Sorvino
American actress, Mira Sorvino wrote and acted in backyard plays during her high school and graduation days. During the preproduction of the film “Amongst Friends”, she was hired as a third assistant director, then was promoted to casting director, assistant producer and finally to a lead role.
She acted as a squeaky voiced, foul-mouthed prostitute in the film “Mighty Aphrodite” for which she won Academy award as a Best Supporting Actress. She was also nominated for Golden Globe awards for her role Immigration and Custom’s Enforcement agent in the film “Human Trafficking”.
