Dr. McHomophobe Releases A Statement
“Paging Dr. McHomophobe, your publicist wants to kick your arse.” I have the unfortch duty of having to report to y’all to cancel your TiVo recordings of The Ellen DeGeneres Show today because Isaiah Washington cancelled his scheduled apology make nice appearance. Instead, he issued a written statement via People Magazine that said:
“I sincerely regret my actions and the unfortunate use of words during the recent incident on-set…Both are beneath my own personal standards. … I have nothing but respect for my coworkers … and have apologized personally to everyone involved.”
I wish that Dr. McHomophobe had gone on Ellen to clear the air – I was really excited to see how uncomfortable he was going to feel making his first formal on-air apology to America’s Most Powerful Lesbian (statement soon-to-be argued by Rosie O’Donnell). Well, apparently everything is kosher on the Grey’s set now – you know, until Isaiah gets fired and stuff. [Source]
