McCartney Mills Divorce Getting Good, Scratch That, Nasty

Heather Mills McCartnery either:

• A) Has a massive set of cojones, and tells a big fat one in an attempt to win a point in what’s turning out to be the divorce of the century
• B) Is telling the truth, which means Sir Paul is royally effed up

Heather has come out via her legal team making claims that Sir Paul physically beat the crap out of her during the course of their marriage. Statements from her court docs claim:

[Paul] Subjected her to four violent attacks, including one in which he stabbed her in the arm with a broken wine glass. [Paul] Continued to use illegal drugs and drink excessively, despite promises made before they married.

[Paul] Hurled abuse at his wife, calling her an ‘ungrateful bitch’. [Paul] Tried to prevent her from breastfeeding, saying: ‘They are my breasts.’ [Paul] Made her cancel a crucial operation because it interfered with his holiday plans. [Paul] Objected ‘vociferously’ when she asked to buy an antique bedpan to save her crawling to the toilet at night.

Honestly, did she really need the antique bedpan? Anyhoo, Sir Pauly Pants responded to Heather’s claims today, via les lawyers of course. They said:

“Our client will be defending these allegations vigorously and appropriately. Our client is saddened by the breakdown of his marriage and requests that his family is allowed to conduct their personal affairs out of the media spotlight for the sake of everybody involved.”

Well, this is turning into Alec and Kim: The Next Generation. I find it hard to believe that Sir Paul McCartney, who was seemingly happily married to his wife Linda for 20-something years before she died, would beat up on a woman with only one leg who also carried his child. I mean, I’m sure there are a lot of things we can blame him for, but…come on, seriously? Read Paul’s full statement here.
