Mel Gibson Trying to Blame Everything Other Than Himself for His Anti-Semitic Comments
More tidbits in regards to Mel Gibson and his invitation to my grandmother’s Hannukah party! He told Diane Sawyer in “the interview” that the world’s criticism toward his movie, Passion of the Christ, might have triggered the drinking binge that inevitably lead to his crazy-talkin’ statements about Jews and how they were responsible for all the wars in the world.
“Let me be real clear here, in sobriety, sitting here in front of you on national television,” Gibson told Sawyer, “I don’t believe that Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. I mean, that’s an outrageous, drunken statement…Now even before anyone saw a frame of film, for an entire year, I was subjected to a pretty brutal sort of public beating…And during the course of that, I think I probably had my rights violated in many different ways as an American, as an artist, as a Christian, just as a human being.”
I just hate to state the obv, but…maybe, just maybe his meshugga tequila-infused ramblings might act as evidence for why people were criticizing the film to begin with? Dude needs some hizzelp, and I hope he gets some soon!
