David Blaine broke the Guiness World Record for holding one’s breath. David held his breath underwater for 17 minutes 4 seconds.

The AP reports:

The feat was broadcast live during The Oprah Winfrey Show and the studio audience cheered as divers pulled the 35-year-old magician from a water-filled sphere.

Blaine looked relaxed afterward and said the record was “a lifelong dream.”  Before he entered the sphere, Blaine inhaled pure oxygen through a mask to saturate his blood with oxygen and flush out carbon dioxide.

Star Magazine reports that Katie Holmes spent 3 days at Gold Base, the Scientology compound in Hemet, CA.  An inside source said she went through serious tests and purification sessions at Tom Cruise’s insistence,

The source said the boot camp includes, “various tests, confession sessions, tons of reading and physically challenging purification processes. Tom insists that auditing and purification practices are incredibly beneficial to Scientologists at all levels.” One of the auditing sessions reportedly lasts 36 hours with little sleep and food.

Someone needs to save this girl.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Cher revealed her relationship with Tom Cruise.

“He was a shy boy. He didn’t have any money. One night we walked into this restaurant in New York and this girl came up, this waitress came up and she took our order and stuff like that and he said, ‘I knew that girl in school and she wouldn’t give me the time of day.’ “

Cher went on to say,”I lived in his apartment.”  Tom Cruise was 23 at the time; Cher was 39.

Can’t say I’m really surprised.  Cher has always been popular among gay men.

Cristian de la Fuente suffered a muscle cramp while dancing the samba with Cheryl Burke on “Dancing with the Stars”. During their performance, Cristian grabbed his arm and tried to go on.

Cheryl Burke went in for the final dip, but Cristian couldn’t hold her and she fell.“It hurts,” de la Fuente told cohost Samantha Harris backstage, holding an ice pack to his left forearm. “It hurts the arm and it hurts that I couldn’t do it, you know, it’s tough.”

Elliot Spitzer’s hooker Ashley Alexandra Dupre is suing Joe Francis and his Girls Gone Wild franchise for over $10 million.

Dupre is asking for damages because Francis released images from a tape she made in 2003 when she was just 17.  In the video, she flashes her boobs and grabs herself.

Dupre was on spring break and says she was given alcohol and “cajoled” into doing it.

Francis claims it “doesn’t matter” if she was underage, since she showed false identification and claimed to be older.

“It is incomprehensible that Ms. Dupré could claim she did not give her consent to be filmed by Girls Gone Wild, when in fact we have videotape of her giving consent, while showing her identification,” Francis told Usmagazine.com…

“She’s seeking $10 Million for topless photos taken in front of a room full of people, including two newspapers and multiple crews we had in the room,” he said. “These images were taken in public places and contain no sexual contact. We expect to triumph in this matter and continue to offer the best and hottest girls.”

So Dupre is willing to screw Gov. Spitzer for $4000, but she wants $10 million for showing her boobs?  She needs to update her price list.

Pamela Anderson is doing well in her battle against Hepatitis C.  Her doctor says she’s in the best shape of her life.

Several years ago, Anderson said she was not expected to live for more than 10 or 15 years after contracting the disease from ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Now Pamela says she has finally managed to stave off the illness.

“I’m doing really good. Actually, I just went to my doctor, Dr. Huizenga. He took all my blood work and went through all my tests. And I hadn’t really been to him in a year-and-a-half. And he said he’s never seen me healthier. That, he said, it’s a miracle.”

“You know, I don’t really work out a lot. I walk and play sports with my kids. But he says, ‘You’re in the best shape I’ve ever seen you in. You’re 40 years old and your liver is in great shape, all your blood work came back really well, low cholesterol.’”

“I’m… treating it homeopathically… But I’m doing really what he (the doctor) told me… He thinks that me being vegetarian really helps me staying in such good shape.”

Miley Cyrus will appear in some racy (borderline kiddie porn) pics in Vanity Fair magazine. Keep in mind, she’s only 15 years old!  She posed for a shoot with photographer Annie Liebovitz.

Miley actually apologized to fans for the pics:

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.”

“I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

However, according to Vanity Fair:

“Miley’s parents and/or minders were on the set all day. Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley. In fact, when Bruce Handy interviewed Miley, he asked her about the photo and she was very cheerful about it and thought it was perfectly fine.”

Disney is not gonna be very happy!

Three Florida universities have denied Brooke Hogan admission.

Brooke, wants to film her family’s reality show Hogan Knows Best on campus. The University of South Florida, Florida State University, and the University of Central Florida (who also denied Tommy Lee admission for his show Tommy Lee Goes to College) have all declined Brooke’s application, saying that she and the crew might disrupt the other students’ academic lives.

Jennifer Aniston has sparked rumors of a new relationship with John Mayer, after the pair was seen dining together in Miami, Florida over the weekend.

The pair had 90 minute lunch and sat close together, according to the restaurant’s manager.

They even shared their food - Aniston ate some of Mayer’s ham (no, that’s not a euphamism for anything sexual).
