Boyfriend charged in Anna Nicole Smith’s death
Howard K. Stern and Smith’s doctors have been charged for the death of Anna Nicole Smith. According to the
Associated Press

Howard K. Stern and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor were released late Thursday after posting $20,000 bond. Charges include conspiracy, unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance and prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict, authorities said.
According to prosecutors, Stern was given thousands of prescription drugs including opiates and sedatives (a deadly combination) from doctors. Stern then gave the drugs to Smith.
I think Smith made her own choices to OD. Yes, she had a drug problem and she used Stern and other doctors to get the drugs but its not like they forced the drugs down her throat. I don’t see how this is any different from any other OD case. The person has to get the drugs from someone. I think the doctors should be charged for the prescribing a controlled substance and prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict charges, but not the conspiracy.
Some people may say she wasn’t a very bright person and was tricked into overdosing. She couldn’t have been that dumb, after all, she married a rich old man and got lots of money out of it.
