Ashton’s Plan for World Peace

Ashton Kutcher sure knows how to prove us wrong that he’s not a pretty-face-sans-brains when interviewed by reporters at the premiere for his new movie, The Guardian. I’ll paraphrase for you what he said…Ashton: I love Demi soooooooooo much. I always thought you weren’t happy when you got married, but I am, so I don’t feel married. I feel in love. And, I know, that as long as we have this love, we can save the world. And now, what he actually said in his interview with The Sun:

The Sun: How are things going with Demi? Is married life treating you well?

It’s great… you know. I don’t feel married. It’s very bizarre. I don’t think you can feel married I think you just feel in love and when you’re in love that’s a really great place to be. The best thing about being in love is having someone to share everything with, to share your insecurities with to share your strengths with and just completely removing any separation that exists between you and another person. They say that if two people, can actually, it only takes two people on the whole entire earth if they can be 100 per cent completely connected and in love it’ll bring peace on earth for ever more.

Wow. I, I…I feel global warming getting better already! Oh, wait, and was that the war ending? HALLELUJA! The rest of the interview is bland en comparaison, but click here if you’d like to read it.

One Response to “Ashton’s Plan for World Peace”

  1. Ann Marie Clothier Says:

What is the deal with World Peace anyways? Not only is it unrealistic; it is completely simplistic as well. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pro war or terrorism. However, life is about balance. It is about trials, joys, struggle, pains, experience, good and bad. It just isn’t logical to assume that people will peaceably agree and let go of principals they are passionate about! Shall we all be robots of conformity for the sake of “world peace?” Our country was founded on the intelligent ideals of a God given right to independent, free thinking. If we truly ascribe to our constitution, world peace is not an option. Pain always produces something you can’t manufacture from any other experience; perseverance, education, self evaluation, strength and a renewed sense of faith. It is where heroes are born and history is made. World Peace, therefore, is not only impossible, it is unbeneficial to society. To achieve World Peace, we need to start with inner peace. That is a life long journey born through life experience – both tragedy and triumph. And not everyone is committed to search for inner peace. We all have that right. What we don’t have, and never will, is World Peace. Thank God!
