What is the deal with World Peace anyways? Not only is it unrealistic; it is completely simplistic as well. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pro war or terrorism. However, life is about balance. It is about trials, joys, struggle, pains, experience, good and bad. It just isn’t logical to assume that people will peaceably agree and let go of principals they are passionate about! Shall we all be robots of conformity for the sake of “world peace?” Our country was founded on the intelligent ideals of a God given right to independent, free thinking. If we truly ascribe to our constitution, world peace is not an option. Pain always produces something you can’t manufacture from any other experience; perseverance, education, self evaluation, strength and a renewed sense of faith. It is where heroes are born and history is made. World Peace, therefore, is not only impossible, it is unbeneficial to society. To achieve World Peace, we need to start with inner peace. That is a life long journey born through life experience – both tragedy and triumph. And not everyone is committed to search for inner peace. We all have that right. What we don’t have, and never will, is World Peace. Thank God!
