Brandy Involved in Deadly Car Crash
With the fatal car accident last month that involved Prison Break star Lane Garrison still fresh in our minds, here comes a report that another celebrity is to be blamed for a car mishap that claimed the life of a 39-year old woman, also last month.
According to TMZ, actress and singer Brandy rear-ended a car with her Land Rover on December 30 on a Los Angeles freeway, setting off a four-car accident. Here’s how it happened:
It happened at 10:30 AM on December 30, 2006 on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Brandy was driving her 2007 Land Rover at 65 mph and did not notice that cars in front of her had slowed considerably. We’re told Brandy’s vehicle struck a 2005 Toyota. The Toyota then hit a 1989 Toyota. The 2005 Toyota then slid sideways and hit the center divider. As the 2005 Toyota came to a halt, it was struck by a 1988 Acura.
The driver of the 2005 Toyota, a 38-year old mother of one named Awatef Aboudihaj, suffered major injuries and died the following day at a local hospital.
The thing is, Brandy kept on blaming herself, that everything was her fault, right at the scene of the accident.
What a tragedy.
