Bristol Palin says abstinence is unrealistic to Fox News

Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol stated the obvious to Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren on Monday night that the abstinence her mom admittedly preaches is “not realistic.”
Bristol Palin gave birth to a beautiful bastard in late December and encourages children her age to wait or at least jump on your bed for fifteen minutes afterwards to avoid pregnancy (not really):
“Everyone should wait 10 years,” Palin said. “I hope people learn from my story.
“It’s so much easier if you’re married, have a house and career. It’s not a situation you want to strive for.”
“It was my choice to have the baby,” she said. “It doesn’t matter what my mom’s views are on it. It was my decision.”
Bristol’s mother Sarah Palin declared in November 2006 that she would not support abortion even if her daughter had been raped. That is unless of course the assailant wasn’t white.

I feel calling the baby a “bastard” is mean and is not necessary. He doesn’t deserve any label! You could just have said Bristol Palin gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

Yeah uhm, bastard actually means “baby conceived out of wedlock”. Baby tripp or trap or whatever his name is, is indeed, a BASTARD child.

I applaud Bristol for doing the right thing, and taking responsibility for getting pregnant. She could have taken the easy way out and killed her baby (like so many teens are “coached” to do), but she chose life for her child. She’s making the best of a situation, is graduating from high school and still has hopes and dreams to make a life for herself. Bristol has proven already to be a very good mother and there’s nothing WRONG with having support and help from her family. All new mothers need support and guidance. And..why do we have this “culture of death” here in America? Why do we act like having a baby as a teen means the END OR YOUR “SO-CALLED” LIFE??? It will be harder, but if you really have goals and motivation for yourself, you can STILL go to college, or work at least part-time with a baby. Having a baby should not carry the stigma of a “HORRIBLE INCONVIENENT, BURDEN”. Babies are angels, a miraculous gift from God who deserve life and nurturing love that only a mother can give. I feel Bristol will be a very loving, nurturing mother because she has the awesome example from her own mother and a very loving, supportive family. So “take that” all you liberal “pro-choice” baby-killing people!!!!

you’re an idiot. people like you cause hell for people like bristol. she’s absolutely not the only one who has gotten pregnant as a teenager and there are millions of people who were younger than her. Bristol is right, it’s very unrealistic for teens to remains absitnent. you’re ridiculous, biggoted, and simpley an ass.

In regard to the post before mine, I agree 100% with your comment but honestly, you never know what you are going to do until you are in that position. I know a few people who have had abortions. It’s not something they are proud of, but it was their decision. I don’t commend the killing of innocent lives in the slightest, but it’s tough. Sometimes the circumstances are different. In some cases, it’s not always just an unprepared, sexually active teenager who got knocked up; what would happen if a girl was raped. What would you do if your life was changed forever because of something SOMEONE ELSE did to you? What if because of someone else’s actions, the course of your life was changed? What it comes down to is although the majority of abortions are done on teenagers and women who were careless and didn’t use contraception, there are still those situations when women didn’t have the choice to say “no.” Therefore, I think “pro-choice” should stand. I definitely don’t agree with it, but if you take away a woman’s rights, what else will the government take away from us?
