Britney’s Awesome Lip-Syncing Comeback
For the first time in three years, Britney Spears has taken to the stage, and dazzled everybody by showing off her snappy dance moves and lip-syncing skills. Whoop-de-do.
I don’t know why everyone’s making a big deal out of this, but her performance at San Diego’s House of Blues took all of 14 minutes, and it consisted of nothing more than a tubby Britney dancing to “Baby One More Time,” “Do Somethin’,” “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Breathe on Me” and “Toxic.” That’s right, she lip-synced her way through five of her own songs. And people paid for this? Ashlee Simpson lip-synced on national TV for free, and almost got chased out of the business.
OK, the guy she pulled from the audience and did a lap dance on probably thought it was all worth it, but only because Britney probably had no panties on and gave the guy a whiff.
She should have waited three more years.
