Brokeback gone opera
Brokeback Mountain, the movie Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal made famous, has found its way in the hands of The New York City Opera.
Yes, that’s right, Charles Wuorinen has been asked byt he opera to compose a play based on the hit movie. The movie ranked in a whopping $45 million. It even won four Golden Globes. The challange is- can The New York City Opera top that? I guess we will have to wait until spring 2013 when it is scheduled to come out.
