Jennifer Hudson Eyeing Jackie Robinson Biopic
Looks like Jennifer Hudson already has her eyes set on a role in a biopic of trailblazing baseball legend Jackie Robinson.
According to Access Hollywood, the third African American woman to win the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress wants to take part in a remake of a movie about the baseball hero who broke the sport’s color barrier because his story has “affected her deeply”.
“It tells of greatness and our history,” she said. “That means something to me.”
It is not yet known which role would be suitable for the Oscar winner, but honestly, it doesn’t matter. This could be her chance to prove that she could act without having to fall back on singing, and probably win awards too. As long as she doesn’t play Jackie Robinson, she’ll be fine.
