That picture is truly unflattering & it is clear that this isn't an ordinary Vogue issue. An issue for beauty, elegance, sophistication, & prestige. But rather the "biggest spring issue ever" & "over the top".

However, I'm not particularly charmed with Jennifer's "talent" or appearance. The ability to carry a tune & pretend to be upset isn't as rare as the common person thinks.

She's just another pop goldmine, & may become a celebrity if she can live up to "Dream Girls". Image, PR, Make-Up, Smoke, & Mirrors.

I know everyone wishes to run & bow to anything vaguely new in this day & age. But America doesn't really need another fat role model (not to say they need another anorexic one).

hell ya.

I've been reading vogue for 20 years and whenever they put a woman of color on it's big news.

not only is jen hudson a great american icon because she was just like the rest of us before discovered on american idol, and besides she's a full figured woman, but she also shoots down the beyoncee diva mentality......beyoncee's never been on vogue!

[...] Lets see, Jennifer has won a Golden Globe, a SAG award, the BAFTA, and is all set to get this year’s Oscar for making Beyoncé sound like a pipsqueak by comparison in Dreamgirls, Jennifer’s first and only movie. Over the years, Beyoncé has been regarded as some sort of a “style icon” and mama Tina Knowles thinks of herself as some kind of fashion designer, but it’s Jennifer who has made it to the cover of Vogue, the first African-American singer to achieve the feat.
