Some people are carriers and never even know they have it because some people don’t have symptoms. Its not a death sentence its just a lifestyle change.

“Smart”, Ally… um… understand that the 25% for simplex 2 and 80% for simplex 1 aren’t necessarily going to add up to 100%…some people have BOTH simplexes. simplex 1 is usually cold sores & simplex 2 is usually genital herpes.

And the point is? 25% of the American population has type 2 herpes and about 80% has type 1. 90% of those infected do not know it because for most the symptoms are mild or nonexistent. It stands to reason that the same stats would hold true for famous people as well. Herpes exists among all race, culture and economic groups. In other words, it is no big deal!
