Jessica Alba Dishes The Dirt on 90210 Cast
Jessica Alba just confirmed what we’ve been thinking all along: that the stars of the 90s hit series Beverly Hills 90210 were a bunch of egotistic brats.
The sexiest member of the Fantastic Four revealed that when she worked on the defunct TV show, making eye contact with any of its stars such as Luke Perry, Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty was contractually forbidden.
“I don’t really know why. Maybe because the leading characters were so popular they didn’t want other actors looking at them. “You wouldn’t be allowed to talk to them unless they spoke to you first. It was bizarre. But I guess that’s what happens when you become a big star. ” [Source]
If that’s what big stars do, then I shudder to think what rules on the set of real big stars are in place. Perhaps Julia Roberts can get you fired if a crew member breathes the same air she’s breathing. Or maybe Kiefer Sutherland goes all Jack Bauer on stuntmen who dare accidentally hurt a single strand of his hair during fight scenes.
But the part that really shocks me the most is learning that Jessica was on 90210! Oh well, I never really watched the show in the first place, but my younger sis watched the entire series and could not remember Jessica being there. On second thought, most of her performances are forgettable, so that’s gotta be it.

No offense, but this make zero to no sense at all. You said, “, making eye contact with any of its stars such as Luke Perry, Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty was contractually forbidden.” But Jessica Alba was on the set in 1998, Shannen Doherty left the show in 1994, something sounds a little off to me…

Agree with above poster. Jessica Alba played an unwed teen mother who gives her baby up and then changes her mind. This was during the time Kelly worked at the clinic. Shannon Doherty was long gone by this time. Alba was only on the show for a few episodes anyway. I watched the series from beginning to end while on maternity leave last year on the Soap Opera channel. I know, dorky but what else was on?

Luke Perry wasn’t back on the show yet. Brandon is in this episode and Brandon leaves before Dylan comes back. I’ve heard Luke is a really nice guy in person. They probably had that in the contract from the earlier years because they were probably mobbed by extras who were huge fans of the guys. I doubt they were jerks about it though…especially in the later years when half the original cast was gone anyway.

u guys have way too much time. i ended up here after my bf and i had a debate about if tara reid was ever on 90210. we were watching the view. no one should know this much about the stupid 90210 show.
