John and Jessica To Get Hitched in May?
A question about the running shoes he wore at the Grammy Awards resulted in a surprising announcement that may or may not have been a joke.
John Mayer, who displayed a keen sense of fashion by complementing his classic Armani tux with a pair of Nike running shoes, inadvertently (or jokingly, whichever you want to believe) announced that he and Jessica Simpson plan to get married in May.
When asked by host Sheryl Hickie of “Entertainment Tonight Canada” about his running shoes, Mayer replied that he knew they were inappropriate but promised he would wear better shoes to his wedding. When asked if he planned on getting married, he replied “May” and walked away.[Source]
What’s in a word anyway? For all I care, he could just be saying he “May” get married, but not sure when or to whom. What I know is that getting married a month after Jessica’s ex-husband Nick Lachey takes another bride in Vanessa Minnillo doesn’t seem like a hot idea to me. Poor form, if I may so, as if Jessica were trying to get back at Nick for having the nerve to move on with his life.
