TomKat spent $100,000 on Suri’s birthday party
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise spent around $100,000 for Suri Cruise’s second birthday bash. Here are a few of their expenses:
* $17,000 on fresh flowers
* $5,000 on cakes
* $230 on cupcakes
The theme of the party was butterflies because Suri loves them. A source said: “Suri adores butterflies. It was immediate family and their closest friends only. There were no celebrities invited to the daytime bash.”
There were 24 people in attendance at the party including family and friends.
$100,000 on a 2-year-old’s birthday party? Tom, she would have been just as happy going to Chuck E. Cheese.

I was saddened when I read about the amount spent for the birthday party for Suri. I am not against having a birthday party for a child but I couldn’t help but feel sad for all the children in our country who don’t have birthday parties and who are starving. It’s possible that Suri’s parents donate to worthy causes and I think that Suri would have enjoyed her birthday party even if much less was spent. The amount spent could have fed many children.
