Madonna Helps Earthquake Victims in Italy
Although Madonna was not be able to adopt another child from Malawi, she has found a new cause. Her publicist, Liz Rosenbery, has confirmed that Madonna has donated money to the victims of the Abruzzo region in Italy who have suffered from an earthquake. The amount of the donation is around $500,000. According to eonline, Madonna’s paternal grandparents are from a village near there. Madonna said, “I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from…My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones or their homes.”
Madonna is helping a good cause as more than 200 people had died from the earthquake and 50,000 have become homeless.
