Mandy Moore Is Mediocre

I wasn’t a big fan of
Mandy Moore
, but now I think I am. How can you not love a celebrity who basically admits to being not much of a talent?

In the May “Green Issue” of Elle Magazine, Mandy puts on an incredible display of self-awareness when she said she’s a mediocre singer and actress. What’s more, she’s honest enough to think that in the company of fellow ‘90s teen pop stars
Britney Spears
,
Christina Aguilera
and
Jessica Simpson
, she’s often perceived as “the young, untalented one”.

First off, I want to tell Mandy not to be too hard on herself, because compared to Christina, all three of them sound like American Idol rejects. Second, she should realize that she has way more acting talent than Britney, Christina and Jessica combined. Third, she’s taller. Way taller. That’s gotta count for something.

Now I wonder if the likes of
Ashley Simpson
and all those annoying boy bands have the same level of self-awareness. I’m guessing not.
