Not that anyone cares, but the New Kids On The Block are back together again.

After 18 years, the five band members (who are almost 40), are planning to tour once more.

According to People magazine:

The oldest “Kid,” Jonathan Knight, now a real estate developer, will turn 40 later this year. Since the band’s demise, former members Donnie Wahlberg, 38, and Joey McIntyre, 35, have seen acting success, while Danny Wood, 38, has worked as a music producer and Knight’s brother, Jordan, 37, has continued to record.

This news caught me off guard late last night when watching the news. I am so excited to hear that the New Kids on the Block are reuniting for a tour! Don’t know if they’re recording a new album or if they’re touring one more time. I remembered their string of hit singles and albums in the late’80s/early ’90s. They made good, addictive pop songs.Though I like “Step By Step” far more than their signature hit “Hangin’ Tough.” I thought that they weren’t going to do it since they have so many projects (movies, music, TV, real estate) going on. But they must be ready to do it–that hunger to tour again must be still in them! Maybe they were talking about it at the end of 2007 but kept it tight lipped from the media. I miss Jordan Knight’s familiar falsetto voice heading the group. And Donnie Wahlberg’s bad boy stance. This is going to be BIG! I’m sure they’ve got all kinds of surprises, maybe a massive live show with lights and fireworks! Yes, their fans are older, but they’ll definitely go to their shows, even bring their kids to see who was their teen idol long before the Hannah Montana craze . This tour might sell out in MINUTES!!!!!
