Nick and Vanessa’s Public Fight
For the past year, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have been portrayed by paparazzi cameras as one of the sweetest couples in Hollywood. Almost every pic that got published showed them holding hands, kissing, hugging or doing just about every yucky love stuff short of actual sex. Anyone who sees those photos always get the impression that Nick is so over Jessica Simpson, that these two are perfectly happy with each other and that a trip down that aisle is a foregone conclusion.
A report by TMZ, however, reveals that the seemingly perfect couple isn’t so perfect at all. They do have fights, like this major one they had at the exclusive Plumm nightclub in NYC last night.
Nick and Vanessa arrived to catch Joey McIntyre’s impromtu performance at the club, in which he’s a part-owner. At one point, Nick was seen with a Jessica Simpson lookalike sitting in his lap. As she got up, the buxom blonde bombshell signaled Nick to call her … with a blatant thumb and pinky phone gesture. Vanessa caught it and and yelled, “What are you doing?” and a stern, “We need to talk!”
Vanessa then bolted outside. Nick followed and hailed a cab. Vanessa jumped in a different cab, leaving Nick standing alone on the sidewalk. He went over to Ness’s cab and a heated exchange followed.
Don’t worry, they eventually left in the same cab. But don’t you just wish somebody got pictures of the scene for everybody else to see and realize that even apparently happy couples screw up too?
