Paula Abdul Admits to Addiction
Just weeks ago, Paula Abdul denied having a drug addiction. We all knew she was lying. But she proved us right in her interview with Ladies Home Journal.
“I could have killed myself,” she said. “Withdrawal—it’s the worst thing. I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain, it was excruciating. But at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been.”
She said that she has suffered years of chronic pain which led to her drug addiction. To deal with her pain, she had regular shots of lidocaine, wore a pain medication patch which was 80 times stronger than morphone, took nerve meds and muscle relaxers.
Why would a doctor prescribe all these meds together? This is absolutely ridiculous. She had no reason to be on so many different meds at the same time.
