Rosie O’Donnell Pisses off Asian People
Rosie O’Donnell pissed off the Asian American community by making a, well, rather…questionable comment on The View. The comment was in regards to the whole Danny DeVito drunken debacle, and was meant to be a humorous comment about Danny…not a deriding comment about Asian people.
According to Page 6, Asian-Americans are fuming at “The View” host for saying that Danny DeVito’s drunken antics made headlines in China that read: ‘Ching chong, ching ching chong, Danny DeVito!”
Ok, I guess the Asian people have a point. Insert copious amounts of inappropriate jokes here about this situation as a whole. [Source]

[…] Funny how Rosie O’Donnell so easily forgives herself for insulting a nation of 1.3 billion people, yet immediately gets on the case of any fat actress who may be fudging her weight or bubbly talk show hosts who don’t want closeted, unattractive singers to touch their lips (because of flu season, of course). Maybe Rosie (or Barbara Walters) noticed this hint of hypocrisy, which is why she apologized profusely on the View yesterday for her comments — she had no idea Chinese people would find “ching ching chong” offensive — but nearly promised that she would do something similar in the future.
