Seacrest Blames Simon for ‘Idol’ Ratings Drop

“American Idol” host, Ryan Seacrest, is blaming Simon Cowell for the ratings hit this season.

“Well, the knee-jerk reaction would be Simon. Clearly there’s an over saturation of his character.”

When asked about reports of replacing some of the “Idol” judges, “That’s clearly rumor,” he said. “I’m positive you can’t recreate the chemistry that we have with the group on ‘American Idol.’”

My two cents: Simon Cowell is what makes this show. Ryan Seacrest, Paula Abdul, and Randy “yo, check this out dawg” Jackson are talentless talking heads. At least Simon always has some refreshing commentary.

  1. Sharon Says:

They want to blame somebody for lower ratings, but it is the natural thing on TV: Every program has a life cycle! People might get tired to watch and just switch. Remember “Who wants to be a Millionaire”? Well, maybe this is also “over”, sooner than everyone wanted.
