SHOCKER: NBC Will Not Air Madonna Crucifixion. Just Kidding RE: SHOCKER
In Madonna’s upcoming NBC special, she will give up the cross in the name of the FCC. There is a portion during her concert where Madonna mimics a crucifixion by…strapping herself to a big glitterati cross. She says it’s to signify confession or some other blah blah blah I-wanna-stir-up-controversy-even-though-I’m-almost-50 reasons. US Weekly says:
Madonna has explained that it was meant to illustrate a theme of confession. However, this scene angered religious leaders, who said it was a publicity stunt and in bad taste. Several U.S. religious groups told NBC that they planned to boycott one of the concert’s commercial sponsors if the cross scene appeared.
And, well, since we’re all aware how the Christian leagues always beat the other league’s arses in bowling, NBC is backing down in the name of ad sales, profit margins, and Nielsen ratings. Amen.

I have to say I concur with the majority of what is being said here. I’m gonna have to have to grab the rss so I can keep tabs. on what’s going on here.
