Trump to NBC: I’m Not Fired, You’re Fired!
Donald Trump, whose low-rated reality show “The Apprentice” was missing from NBC’s new fall lineup, says the network cannot fire him because he quits. In a statement, he announced he is “moving on from ‘The Apprentice’ to a major new TV venture,” though he declined to elaborate.
Earlier in the week, NBC executives left the door open for a possible reprieve for the show. Trump’s statement obviously closes that door.
