Verdict: Miss California Gets to Keep Her Crown

According to the AP, Donald Trump said, “We’ve reviewed the pictures carefully…we’ve made a determination that the pictures taken were acceptable. Some were risque, but we are in the 21st century.”

Trump also defended Carrie Prejean’s answer about her views on gay marriage. She gets to keep her crown. Whether this was the right decision, it depends on who you ask. She was topless in at least one of the pics, although you couldn’t see anything. And she did fail to disclose the pics on any applications for the pageant. Yeah, it’s the 21st century, but that’s no excuse for taking topless pics. She should lose her crown. Young girls look up to these pageant winners and by letting her keep the crown, we are sending the wrong message to these girls. It’s not okay to take semi-nude pics just for fun or for “modeling.”

Uh, so do you think the topless pictures of Miss RI (you know, featured in a Maxim) should make her lose her crown? Or, does it really make a difference that she told the officials about it first?
