Wilmer Valderrama Snags Deal With “Idol” Producer
Looks like Fez is doing pretty well as a producer now. Just recently, Wilmer Valderrama, the man who popped Mandy Moore’s cherry has signed a “first-look” production deal with FremantleMedia North America, the very same company which produces “American Idol”.
When not chalking up conquest after conquest and rating them, Valderrama, through his WV Enterprises, will develop and possibly star in both scripted and unscripted shows for Fremantle. The 27-year-old actor and his producing partner Danny Villa will be setting up offices at Fremantle in Burbank.
Valderrama and Villa were labeled by Fremantle North America CEO Cecile Frot-Coutaz as “gifted producers with a keen sensibility for entertaining content that appeals to their generation.” I have no idea where that came from, but they better come up with shows better than MTV’s “Yo Momma” to live up to this assessment. Or it’s back to going on Howard Stern’s radio show to talk about the size of his wedding tackle.
