‘Winnie’ from Wonder Years is Married
Danica McKellar who played Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years married long time boyfriend Mike Verta. McKellar, 34, who is now a mathematician and actress and Verta, 36, a composer tied the knot on Sunday in an oceanside church in California. The couple had 150 guests at their wedding. According to PEOPLE:
The bride wore a mermaid-style wedding gown and a tiara by Renee Strauss while the groom wore a tuxedo with tails and white gloves.
“We wanted an intimate, formal event,” says McKellar, who walked down the aisle to wedding music composed by Verta and performed by members of the San Diego Symphony.
A reception followed at a private club, where guests enjoyed a sitdown dinner and dancing to a 10-piece band. The newlyweds danced their first dance to an original Sinatra-style love song written by Verta and performed by McKellar’s uncle, Kim McCellar.
The couple has been dating since 2001. They make a cute couple.
